How To Get The Most Value For Your Home

September 1, 2022

The National Association of Realtors conducted market research that showed agent-assisted home sales increased final sale values by over 20%.

When considering whether or not to work with a real estate agent make sure to factor in the extra 20% that agents provide on average. Even for mid-market properties, selling your home without an agent can leave significant money on the table.

A median final sale difference of $260,000 compared to a median $318,000 for agent-assisted sales.

Selling your home is a big decision and you want to make sure you get the most value for your home. Here are some tips and advice to sell your home at the highest value possible:

1. Work with a real estate agent who knows your local market.

2. Make sure your home is in tip-top shape before putting it on the market.

3. Check recently sold properties in your neighborhood on sites like
Zillow and price your home competitively.

4. Market your home effectively. This is where a local real estate agent could really help.

5. Be flexible with showings and open houses. You never know if that missed home showing was the right buyer.

By taking these steps, you can ensure you get the most value for your home when selling it.
